Getting the best out of our site

Our new site is quite different from the old one. If you were used to previous one, it will take a little getting used to, but we believe it is worth the effort!

Navigating the site

The large buttons on the left-hand side of the webpage are the primary method for moving from page to page. Current products for sale can be accessed by clicking the ‘Shop’ button. The main window will then display the product categories; clicking any of these will then display the contents of that category. Some of these main categories are then broken down into sub-categories, e.g. Accessories has Bayonets, Holsters, etc. At the top of the main window, there is always a ‘crumb trail’ which shows you which category or sub-category you are viewing. This has active links which allow you to navigate back to previous pages by clicking them. A product category page will display brief details of up to 10 products. Where a category has more than 10 products (many do), these will span multiple pages. This indicated by the ‘1  |  2  |  3  next’ shown at the top and bottom of the screen.

Viewing products

Clicking a product picture, its name (in blue) or ‘Detailed view’ will load the page with the full description and photo(s) contained. Most accessories, parts and inert ammunition will only have one photograph. All deactivated weapons and more expensive items will always have two or three. Where this is the case, these are shown at the bottom of the page. Clicking any of the small images at the bottom of the page will show them mid-sized in the larger left-hand box. Clicking this mid-sized image will open a new window showing the largest version of the picture available on the website. 95%+ of the photos shown on our site are of the actual item you will buy. Where this is not the case, the description will state ‘Picture is representative’.

Checking details

Each product listing gives the retail price (inclusive of VAT), the shipping and handling charge (exclusive of VAT) and the product availability as follows:

·      Available from stock – available to purchase

·      Available from Stock with ‘This item cannot be ordered at the moment’ below – usually on hold/reserved for a customer or awaiting further product details (often confirmation of price) – not available to purchase

·      The item cannot be ordered at the moment – usually out of stock – not available to purchase

Please take time to read the product description carefully as well as looking at the photos; we always aim to be completely accurate and honest in these descriptions.

 Ordering

From the product description page, click ‘Add to shopping basket’. If you require a quantity other than ‘1’, this can be set before adding to the basket or indeed at the next screen. The ‘Shopping Basket’ screen will show your order including shipping. You can adjust quantities or delete items here – click ‘Update’ after doing so. If you are ready to complete your order, then click ‘Go to checkout’. If you wish to add to your order, click ‘Continue shopping’.

 Completing your order

You can complete your order with or without registering with our site. The advantage of registering is that you won’t need to re-enter all of your details for future orders. As you move through the rest of the ordering process you will be asked for various information which will be required to complete the order. It is important that you try to be as complete and accurate as possible when filling in the required fields as this speeds up our processing time and helps to avoid problems with card transactions,  delivery, etc. You will be asked for you date of birth; this is for age verification purposes only. Any information you supply to us will not be passed on to any other party apart from the limited information required by our delivery agents (name, address and telephone number).

 Using the Search feature

Our site has a powerful search engine which will search all product categories. This can be accessed by clicking ‘Search’ in the left-hand navigation menu. As well as searching for specific text you enter, it is also possible to search for specific categories or individual manufactures. We would encourage customers to experiment with this feature

 New Items

From time to time we will update the ‘New Items’ page with products which have recently come into stock. However, this page will not show all new products. We therefore advise customers to browse the site regularly.
